Hollywood star reveals why he left LA
Sam Neill found life in Los Angeles 'horrible'
Kiwi actor chats about his new home
Sir Sam Neill has revealed why he decided to leave Los Angeles and move back to his farm in New Zealand.
The Jurassic Park actor, who has son Tim 41 with Lisa Harrow, said he found life in Hollywood "horrible".
"I didn't like it at all," he told The Times. "I found it horrible."
Neill said he didn't like the "pretentiousness" and "superficiality" of LA.
"I just found it all very, very shallow," he said.
Neill now lives on a farm in New Zealand, where he says he is much happier.
"I'm surrounded by nature and animals," he said. "It's a much more peaceful and fulfilling life."
