Raducanu Overcomes Zarazua in First Round Battle
British wild card Emma Raducanu made a triumphant return to Centre Court on Wednesday with a 7-6(4) 6-3 scoreline over lucky loser Renata Zarazua. Raducanu, who won the US Open last year, was tested by the Mexican but eventually prevailed in straight sets.
Raducanu Delighted with Ugly Win
After the match, Raducanu said she was "just happy to win" and that it didn't matter how she played. "It was a tough match," she said. "I had to dig deep, but I'm just really happy to be through."
Raducanu's next opponent will be the Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck, who is ranked 46th in the world. Van Uytvanck is a two-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist and will be a tough test for Raducanu.

Raducanu, who is playing in her first Wimbledon as a Grand Slam champion, said she is cherishing every moment of the experience. "It's amazing to be back here," she said. "I'm just trying to take it all in and enjoy it."
Raducanu Dominates Sakkari in Third Round
Emma Raducanu marched into the fourth round at Wimbledon on Friday after dominating world No 9 Maria Sakkari in a straight sets victory on Centre Court.
It means the 19-year-old has now won 10 matches in a row at the All England Club having lifted the US Open title last September.
