Zidane Iqbal completes loan move from Manchester United to FC Utrecht

Zidane Iqbal has sealed a loan move from Manchester United to Dutch Eredivisie club FC Utrecht until the end of the season.
The midfielder joined the Red Devils at the age of nine and has progressed through the club’s academy ranks, signing his first professional contract in April 2021. He made his debut for the first team in the Champions League against Young Boys in December 2021, becoming the first British South Asian to play for the club.
Iqbal has since made a further two appearances for United, and he will now get the chance to gain regular first-team experience in the Netherlands.
FC Utrecht are currently sixth in the Eredivisie, and they will be hoping that Iqbal can help them push for a place in Europe next season.
