Early Life and Career

Roberto Baggio was born on February 18, 1967, in Caldogno, Italy. He began his professional football career at the age of 18 with Vicenza Calcio in Serie B. After three successful seasons with Vicenza, Baggio moved to Fiorentina in 1985.

Rise to Stardom

At Fiorentina, Baggio quickly established himself as one of Italy's most talented players. He helped the team win the Coppa Italia in 1996 and the UEFA Cup in 1993. In 1990, Baggio joined Juventus, where he won the Serie A title twice and the UEFA Champions League in 1996.

International Career

Baggio made his debut for the Italian national team in 1988. He was a key member of the team that finished third in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1993. Baggio also played in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups, scoring a memorable goal against Czechoslovakia in the 1994 final.

Legacy

Roberto Baggio retired from professional football in 2004. He is considered one of the greatest Italian footballers of all time. He is renowned for his exceptional skill, creativity, and goal-scoring ability. Baggio was inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame in 2004 and received the Golden Foot award in 2003.
